Special Instructions for USMLE Verification

There is a 2-step process for signing up for the USMLE. First, students must complete the NBME’s Certification of Identification and Authorization form. To get this form, students will have to purchase the exam, then the NBME will send the student an email with instructions on how to complete the form. Students will complete the bottom of this form, making sure to check one (but not both) of the boxes at the bottom. Once the student has done that, email the form to Amanda Mansfield in the Office of Student Affairs. Amanda will then process the form and send it directly to the NBME.

The NBME will also ask Student Affairs to verify the student’s enrollment through their online portal. Once all of that has been done, the student will be able to schedule the exam.
