Pediatrics
Student Organizations Athens
Our Mission
The OU-HCOM Pediatrics Club provides additional education in Pediatrics to medical students and promotes pediatric health in the community. We encourage our members to be actively involved in the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP), our national organization. The ACOP provides numerous resources including annual educational conferences, publications, and residency information.
On each campus, members participate in lunch lectures presented by residency directors and pediatricians in various subspecialties. At a local level, we provide our members with opportunities to interact with and serve families in our community through programs such as Doctor for a Day, Uptown Trick-or-Treat and Make a Wish Training. Additionally, we fundraise to support research and national philanthropic organizations such as: PJammin’ for Kids with Cancer and Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
As a club, we are proud to provide diverse opportunities to our members across all three OU-HCOM campuses, and make a difference in the communities of Athens, Dublin and Cleveland. As an organization, we are very proud of our accomplishments this year and look forward to where next year will take us.
