Plan a CME Program
Continuing Medical Education
The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education jointly sponsors CME programs with other organizations. The Office of CME will assist the sponsor in meeting all requirements for CME, in determining the type of CME for which the program is eligible, in submitting CME on the sponsor’s behalf, and in maintaining records on the CME program.

Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association as an AOA Category 1 accredited CME sponsor.
After the program is submitted for credit, the following accreditation statement is required on all advertising:
Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for ____ credit of AOA Category _____ CME credit. Approval is currently pending.

Continuing Education Pricing Structure
- Level 1 CME: Planning of events with one speaker / non-complex - $500
- Level 2 CME: Planning of events with multiple speakers/complex - $750
Programs that are free to attendees will generally not incur a joint provider fee. Smaller programs must sign contracts a minimum of three months before the program date, and larger programs must sign contracts a minimum of four months before the program date. Programs that do not fit into the normal planning structure will be handled on a case-by-case basis. First-time conference planners are expected to contact the CME/CE office six months before their conference.Cancellation Fees
- Cancellations 60 days out will be charged 25% of the fee.
- Cancellations 30 days out will be charged 50% of the fee.
- Cancellations less than 30 days from the event or program will result in no refund.
