Summary of Work:
My scholarly interests, working with research partners across diverse academic disciplines, focuses on the strategic role of intercultural communication competence in creating healthy individuals and healthy communities in the United States, India, Argentina, Brazil, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Netherlands. I have worked with partners on research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) and the National Institute for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
I have a decade of senior leadership academic experience as President & Director, MICA (prestigious communication management institute in India); Special Affairs, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Chair, Department of Social Medicine, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine; and Chair, University International Council, Ohio University.
