OBI Finance Dashboard Default View

As discussed at the Business Forum on February 6, 2019, the Accounting and Reporting Partner Group recommended, with campus input, to make a change to the default view within the OBI Finance Dashboard, General Ledger tab, “GL Funds Available” report.

This will not change the functionality of GL Funds Available.  It will only change the default view that opens when the user selects the GL Funds Available dashboard.  This change affects the “Select View” drop-down default, changing it from “Revenue Expense” to “Traditional.”  Both views will still be available via the drop-down to choose from.  The Accounting and Reporting Partner Group, through conversations with the members of the Accounting & Reporting Partnership Group, RC Strategy Group, and the attendees of the February 2019 Business Forum  reviewed the proposed change and agreed that most users manage to a budget and therefore are more likely to utilize the “Traditional” view.

This change will go-live on March 7, 2019.
