Spring Break
Hall Information
All halls remain open for Spring Break and students are able to stay, leave, or come and go as needed.
We highly encourage students to communicate with any roommates and/or suitemates about any travel plans. If all students in the room/suite are departing campus, make sure the last one leaving completes the following:
- Remove and discard perishable items from the fridge, take all trash out to the dumpsters, and close the windows before leaving.
- Adjust the thermostat or air unit to the temperature range indicated on the ‘Heating and Cooling’ section of your room’s back-of-door signs. Doing this will improve air flow in the room and remove humidity from the air.
Removing perishable items/trash, ensuring air circulation and overall good housekeeping practices are essential to eliminating mold and mildew growth, especially during spring season.
Lastly, if traveling, avoid picking up “hitchhikers” while away for spring break. Bedbugs and other pests can be found anywhere people congregate or spend significant time. While we hope that everyone has a safe and fun spring break it is important to take a few extra minutes to inspect anywhere you stay to ensure you avoid bringing back any unwanted “souvenirs.”
